Shore ice has been holding steady. Some fishermen are accessing depths of up to 14′ on the “old ice”, but we caution that conditions are day to day. No reports from the new ice beyond the crack that separated a week ago. Fishing has been tough for those chasing Walleye south and east of the marina. There seems to be a Perch focus near shore, and we’ve heard of nice size Perch being caught, just not in great numbers. We expect the shallow water Walleye mystery will be solved soon. It’s time for them to show up in 10′ or less from Linwood to the Saginaw River mouth.
Stop and see us at the Birch Run Spring Boat Show this Friday 2-8, Saturday 10-8, and Sunday 10-3.
As always, good luck and be safe. We appreciate your business.
