Ice conditions have been overall pretty good the last couple weeks. There are a couple pressure cracks about a mile and a half off shore with a few safe spots to cross.

Looking forward, the weather doesn't look very promising with warm temperatures causing the snow to melt and runoff water affecting the ice around those cracks. We will have another ice report later in the week.

The walleye fishing has been pretty frustrating this winter with many fisherman marking a lot of fish, but not getting them to bite. Blue and silver spoons or jigging raps have been the go to lure this winter. The perch fishing has been the best it's been in years with anglers catching many 1.2-1.8lbs fish. A lot of these fish are being caught while jigging for walleye so there's not really a hotspot right now that's being targeted.

If you do decide to go out this week, please be careful and make sure you have a spud and ice picks with you. Tight lines!
