HAPPY NEW YEAR  No ice yet, but that doesn’t mean you can’t go fishing. Our daily launch fee is still only $10, and can be paid at the marina store. We carried a few boats over, that means savings for you.  Get your new boat prepped and use it now, no need to wait for spring.

LBMC launch docks are currently in (this can change overnight),  and boats are getting out after walleye when the wind isn’t blowing 20-30 knots.  Deep Bandit’s are a popular trolling bait while we have open water. Slow trolling at  speeds of 1-1.5mph is a common approach. Franks Great Outdoors  has a large stock of Bandits and other popular trolling baits. See them at the store in Linwood, or visit them in Novi at the Ultimate Fishing Show this Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Jan. 9-12.

The extended forecast shows colder temps towards the end of January. Enjoy the extended open water fishery while you can.
